Terms
Last updated October 7, 2026
- Observing and the daily email are free. Routing costs 5% of routed spend after your first $50.
- You keep your own provider accounts and pay your providers directly.
- Gin is built to fail open: if it breaks, your calls go direct. Still, it is provided as is.
The agreement
These terms are between you and Winding Labs. By using Gin you agree to them. If you use Gin for a company, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to.
Your account
You sign in with GitHub. Keep your Gin keys (gin_sk_…) secret, and rotate them in the dashboard if one leaks. You are responsible for activity under your workspace.
Your content
Your prompts, responses and code stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Gin for you: to show spend, send the email, replay calls and route them. Our privacy policy says how long we keep them.
You are responsible for having the right to send the data your app sends through Gin, and for following your model providers’ terms.
Pricing and billing
- Observe: free, including the daily email.
- Replay: new workspaces get $10 of replay credits. More credits are prepaid and don’t expire while your workspace is active.
- Route: your first $50 of routed spend is free, then Gin charges 5% of routed spend, billed monthly.
- Your provider bills (OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic and others) are between you and them. Gin doesn’t resell tokens.
If we change prices, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice by email.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Gin to break the law, to attack or overload Gin or anyone else, to get around a provider’s limits or terms, or to resell Gin without asking us.
Routing and model choices
When you turn on routing, Gin may answer a call with a different, cheaper model than the one you asked for, only for use cases where replays suggested quality held. Replays are evidence, not a guarantee. You can turn routing off per use case at any time, and you are responsible for checking that results suit your app.
Availability
We work hard to keep Gin fast and up, and the SDK calls your provider directly if Gin can’t be reached. Gin is still provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Winding Labs isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid Gin in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending things
You can stop using Gin and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. On deletion we remove your workspace data as described in the privacy policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we’ll email workspace owners before they take effect.
